Diversity and Inclusion Ambassadors
Building an inclusive environment that promotes diversity requires commitment and contribution from all of our members to educate oneself on basic cultural competencies and champion diversity and inclusion efforts on campus and beyond. Caltech Diversity & Inclusion Ambassadors are individuals who align with the Caltech Center of Inclusion & Diversity's mission and vision towards greater education, action and ally-ship. This program is open to the entire Caltech community.
First-Year Success Research Institute (FSRI)
The First-Year Success Research Institute- FSRI (formerly Freshman Summer Research Institute) provides a comprehensive orientation and academic support program designed to ease the transition from high school to college while building a solid research foundation. FSRI is designed to introduce incoming underrepresented and/or underserved first-year students to Caltech's research and math curriculum, culture, academic rigor, and student support services.
Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship (MMUF)
The Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship (MMUF) is a prestigious national program focused on increasing the number of underrepresented students who will pursue doctorate degrees in core fields in the arts and sciences. Fellowships include mentoring, research stipends, and travel support (conferences, graduate school visits, etc.).
The STEMinar Series
The Caltech Center for Inclusion & Diversity is excited to invite STEM faculty, scholars, and experts to explore the intersections of their various identities with their science. We hope that with each monthly lecture in this series, you will be able to explore your own path through the world of STEM and reflect on how your science interacts with who you are as a broader person.
