Affinity Spaces
In addition to our recurring Affinity Groups, the Caltech Center for Inclusion & Diversity host various affinity spaces throughout the year to bring together community members of historically excluded and marginalized identities. Allies are also welcomed in our affinity spaces.
The STEMinar Series
The Caltech Center for Inclusion & Diversity is excited to invite STEM faculty, scholars, and experts to explore the intersections of their various identities, advocacy, and activism with their science. The purpose is to highlight scholars who historically excluded, minoritized, or marginalized in STEM and working to advance inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility in the scientific community. We hope that the audience will be able to explore their own path through the world of STEM and reflect on how their science interacts with who they are as a broader person.
Dine & Dialogue
The "Dine and Dialogue" program is a recurring series at the Caltech Center for Inclusion & Diversity (CCID). It provides the Caltech community with the opportunity to engage in discussions and dialogue on topics related to inclusion, diversity, equity, and social justice and aims to connect current themes at Caltech to broader concepts and events.
Unpacking Hate
The Unpacking Hate series provides the Caltech community with the tools and knowledge to understand how hate operates in our society. This empowers community members to challenge the systems and communities that perpetuate oppression, inspiring change and progress.
Celebration of Excellence
The Caltech Center for Inclusion & Diversity(CCID) has been honoring the members of our community who exemplify leadership and excellence in advancing inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility since its founding in 2009, but the event existed before. Celebration of Excellence is an event to highlight Caltech community members and their efforts.
